[Background] http://youngjustice.wikia.com/wiki/Superboy
[Personality] Despite being alive for such a short period of time, Superboy went gone through several significant changes. When we first meet him, he was arrogant, standoffish, and stoic. He was not created to feel or have his own thoughts, he was created to follow The Light's plans for him. While he was inside of his incubation tube, he was fed images of taking down Superman and being his replacement. At the time, he felt like his sole purpose was to be exactly like Superman. Anything else was seen as a failure. Before Cadmus could finish implanting his mind with images and thoughts that would give them complete control over him, Robin, Kid Flash, and Aqualad broke him out. Since then, he had come into his own and started to shape a future for himself.
There was one emotion that always seemed to be just beneath the surface; anger. When he first left his incubation tube, anger was his constant companion. It was mainly fueled by Superman's rejection and his inability to use all of the powers that Superman had. How was he suppose to fill in Superman's boots if Superman wouldn't take him under his guidance or if he had no chance of matching him power? He also had no idea how to deal with his emotions. The only memories and experiences he had up until that point were artificial. He lacked a lifetime of experiences to learn how to cope with his emotions and release them in healthy outlets.
As he began to understand the world around him and the people in it, he realized the impact his anger had on them. He worked on scaling down his temper but it wasn't always easy. There were times when it would flare up before he even had a chance to process it. Like when he discovered that Aqualad had known there was a possible mole in the group and Superboy perceived that as Aqualad recklessly putting M'gann in harms way. He charged forward and violently grabbed a hold of Aqualad. There was no thinking involved, he didn't take the time to consider why Aqualad had kept things a secret, he simply lashed out at him. There wasn't even any remorse, at the time he felt completely justified in his actions.
After wards, the Team came to an understanding and Superboy made more attempts to keep his temper under control, but he didn't entirely buy in. When he was angry, he was powerful and felt like no one could stop him. The two became even more intertwined when Luthor gave him the shields that completely unlocked his Kryptonian DNA. Whenever he started to use his powers, his anger completely overwhelmed him and he didn't care about the well being of his friend or anyone else.It got to the point where he realized he had to choose between his friends or his powers. When it hit him that he had to make a choice, it was an easy decision; his friends. Superboy worked on learning coping mechanisms for his anger, where he learned how to channel his anger and it made him stronger in a lot of ways.
Being a part of a team had shown him that working with others and implementing strategies can be far more effective than raw strength. He told another group of teen heroes that “there's a time to use the strong approach and a time to use the smart approach”. While he might not always know how to show it, his friends were very important to him and he trusted them. Being around them has had a "humanizing" effect on him and helped him grow as an individual. More than anyone, M'gann's had a big impact on him. His relationship with her has helped him lower his defenses and open up more. With her, showing emotional and physical affection came naturally in time. He craved the intimacy the two of them shared, it brought him peace and often soothed any conflicted emotions he feels.
Being around his peers also helped him understand what it's like to be a teenager and not feel so awkward in social situations. When the other members of the team met him, he barely cracked a smile never mind a joke. After spending time with the Team and going to high school, he seemed much more confident and comfortable around others. Not to say he was free from awkwardness, he could still be blunt and not pick up on social cues, but understanding them came easier. From time to time he attempted to be witty and make a few jokes. They might not always be the funniest or the wittiest, but he still made the attempt all the same. When the team went to the beach, he allowed them to bury him underneath the sand, and he went to his school Halloween dance with M'gann and Wally. There was a time when he wouldn't have seen the point in either, but now he found things like that fun.
While he has grown, there were still things he struggles with. He desired a close relationship with Superman but Superman is still holding him at arm's length. One of the few times he truly felt at peace was when he had a chance to feel like Superman during a training exercise( that he thought was a real encounter at the time). The whole world around him was at war and he thought several of his friends had died, but he felt at peace because he was treated like he was Superman. The experience had left him with lingering feelings of guilt and shame. He wished he could confide in Superman about it but he knows he'll only be met with rejection.
Due to the unique circumstances surrounding his own creation, Superboy was very open minded and tries not to be judgmental towards other. He felt a kinship with beings who didn't quite fit in with everyone else. He picked up Wolf and Sphere, because as M'gann M'gann put it "they are strays like you". Speaking of M'gann, she's faced her own persecution and hid her true self from the Team for a long time. Superboy discovered her true form months before she revealed her terrifying white martian for to everyone. What she looked like didn't matter to him, he was more interested in who she was. However, he didn't say anything about it to her because he wanted her to tell him when she felt comfortable enough to do so on his own.
Another value Superboy deeply believed in was personal freedom. Not to say everyone should be allowed to do whatever they want, but they should have a say in the important matters that impacted their lives. Cadmus tried to control him and he didn't like it one bit. Saying he could be defiant and stubborn was an understatement. The harder others tried to push their unwanted values on him, the more defiant he became. The Justice League, the most powerful group of superheroes in the universe, didn't initially like the idea of the youngsters taking on more dangerous missions. His response to their disapproval? "You can get on board or get out of the way". Not bad for someone who had just seen the moon and the outside world for the first time.

[Other important stuff] I was wondering if Superboy's genetically altered pet wolf and futuristic extraterrestial sphere can come with him? Sphere is technically a machine but not per say a mech (more info on Sphere can be found here: http://youngjustice.wikia.com/wiki/Sphere )
[Sample post]
[First Person]
1)There is a cake in the rain. What do you do?
Tell Wally about it. The cake will be gone in about five seconds top.
2)Do you stand up against authority, go against all odds, and if you could, pierce the heavens with your fighting spirit? If not, would you if you could?
Pierce the heavens? [Groans.] Who came up with these descriptions?
Anyway, I don't back down from a fight or doing what needs to be done even if the odds are against me. Just because someone is a figure of a authority, it doesn't mean they have it all figured out. Take it from me, half the time protocol's overrated.
3)You're asked to take someone out for a date. Do you agree? If so, describe what you would do. If not, tell why.
I'd tell them no, I'm with M'gann. I'm not interested in anyone but her. We really haven't had a chance to go on a proper date yet, something always seems to come up [Sigh]. But we did go to our school's Halloween dance together and we spend a lot of time with each other back at our base, which is also our home. I don't mind so much, I like watching movies with her and just being around M'gann in general.
4)You have two options: either save your friend who is hanging from a cliff, or chase after the bad guy who put them in a position. If you choose the former, the bad guy will get away and it will be hard to catch him. If you choose the latter, the cliff will crumble and the friend will fall to the spiky rocks below. What do you do and why?
Save my friend. It's frustrating when a bad guy gets away with doing something, especially if what they did put people in danger. But how am I any better than the bad guys if I'm willing to sacrifice a friend in order to get at them? I almost made that mistake once, I won't do it again.
5)Do you prefer adventure or the peaceful life?
The two of them go together for me. If I was sitting around, doing nothing, I'd feel restless instead of at peace. When I'm out there using my powers with my team to put a stop to villains like the Injustice League or helping out some civilians...I don't always feel at peace but I feel like I'm making a difference. That's just as good, isn't it?
6)Do you believe you can fly? Do you believe you can touch the sky?
Seriously, who came up with these descriptions?
No, I can't fly and I'll never be able to no matter how much "I believe I can touch the sky". I feel like I heard someone singing that at school. Jumping gets me to where I need to go just fine.
[Third Person]
"Is that the best you can do?" Superboy sizes up the massive creature in front of him with a smirk. The monstrous creature in front of him is capable of causing a whole lot of damage. That's why it's his job to keep the creature busy while the other members of the Team, who are also on this assignment, get the civilians to safety. Superboy is confident that he can take the creature, that looks like a cross between a large human and triceratops. A few good punches and it's lights out. However, the creature has a deadly charge and could easily take out a handful of civilians in seconds.
"I thought you were trying to tickle me, not hit me!" The creature lets out a loud roar and charges forward. Superboy holds out his arms and grabs a hold of the creature's horns. In an attempt to slow the creature down, he digs his heels into the ground and lets out a loud grunt as he pushes back. It slows the attack down but then the creature whips it's head into the air and sends Superboy flying a good thirty feet away. He hits the ground with a loud thud and bounces a couple of times before he comes to a halt. Lifts his head up and looks to where the rest of the team is. There were still a few civilians that need to be evacuated.
"Haha!" The creature releases an obnoxious laugh. "When me saw the S shield, me thought me were in trouble but me not. You is not so super, you is squishie." Flickers of anger begin to surge through Superboy and he narrows his eyes. It wouldn't take much for him to do a charge of his own and throw the creature around. Shakes his head. No, if he does that he'll end up being the one who puts the civilians in danger. Instead of letting his anger remain raw and get the best of him, he channels it inwardly so he can amplify his next attack when everyone is safe. The creature finishes it's taunt with a charge and comes straight at him. Just before the creature makes impact, he spots the "all's clear and everyone's safe" signal.
"It's my turn now!!" This time when Superboy grabs a hold of the creature's horns, he stands his ground. He tightens his grip and begins to spin in place. Around and round they go, until he lets go and sends the creature flying. Before it has a chance to recover, he delivers a series of quick and powerful blows. The last punch is enough to send the creature into a stupor and it rolls onto it's side, looking disoriented and completely out of it.
"Was that super enough for you?"
[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] The growing cast of Young Justice characters is a huge plus. I really like the concept behind the game. I feel like the dream sequences have a lot of plot potential, but character development wise and provide opportunities for superhero type characters to go pewpewpew.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] The AC. I like having options for AC. Sometimes my characters have a lot going on and want to make a post about it. Other times I want to hone in more on what others have going on and tag around.
[Where did you hear about Somarium?] Through players already in the game.
[Any questions?] Nope.
